Maulana Abdul Haleem was born in Pattan, Kohistan in 1922. Politically affiliated with JUI(F), he was elected for his first term as MNA on an MMAP seat.
After achieving a Dars-e-Nizami qualification from Wifaq-ul-Madaris, he pursued the profession of religious instruction and became a member of Tehrik-e-Nifaaz-e-Shariat.
Married and father of eight sons and seven daughters, his hobbies include delivering religious education in the form of dars.
