PPP, PML-N breakup would strengthen dictatorship

KARACHI: Jamat Islami leader Qazi Hussain Ahmed has said that breakup of People’s Party and Muslim League-N coalition would strengthen the dictatorship. He was talking to media at Karachi airport after his arrival from Tehran.

He said the government would have restored the deposed judges as their first step, still they have time to take the decision.

Replying to a question he said the political parties were not taken into confidence over the decision of postponement of the bye-elections.

Qazi said the meeting of APDM will be held on May 14, while the central executive committee of Jamat Islami will meet on May 16 and 17 to discuss the existing political situation.

He said Jamat Islami would not contest bye-elections but will participate in the next general elections.

    End.
